Not sure what to major in? No problem!

With more than 200 interest areas to choose from, you’re bound to find a WSU program that fits you.

All WSU students take University Common Requirements (UCORE), a series of classes designed to give you a foundation of knowledge and skills that you can rely on throughout college and beyond. With courses in communication, social and physical sciences, and the arts, you’ll be able to sample a variety of degree fields. You might even discover your major!

Take the FOCUS 2, a free assessment offered by the ASCC that helps you link your strengths, skills, and interests to careers.

Undecided = Exploration

Applying to WSU without deciding on a major does not affect your chances of getting in. Most students officially choose a major in their second year, so you have plenty of time to explore your interests and discover what you’re passionate about.

If you want some ideas and assistance, meet one-on-one with an advisor at the Academic Success and Career Center (ASCC) or sign up for UNIV 100: College Majors and Career Exploration, a one-credit course taught by ASCC career advisors every semester. Our advisors will help you match your interests with potential careers.
